Grendel In His Mother's Cave
You're a bearlike monster living with your mother in a cave, sitting in the darkness and listening to the sounds the cave gives off. You're young still, struggling with these sounds, and you would bawl yourself into your mother for comfort. "The cavern river rumbled far below us. Being young, unable to face these things, I would bawl and hurl myself at my mother and she would reach out her claws and seize me."
